How far has the car come?

Have there really been that many significant changes in the car industry in recent years? From being a luxury way back in the 1930’s to the cheap affordable way you can buy them now using car contract hire it is amazing just how far they have come.

Using my knowledge of games is the best way I can really talk about this. With this I am going way back to the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I really could perhaps go back further than the SNES but as it was really the first proper console I played it is best to cover the changes after this. F1 Pole position was one of the first driving games I ever played, for it’s time of 1993 it was a brilliant game.

In just a four year gap you can see the remarkable difference between one of the previous entries to the newer one on the Nintendo 64. The jump graphically is simply fantastic. The huge jump that took place between these two games was the upgrade from 2-D to 3-D. However the next major jump doesn’t come for the next generation of consoles as the only difference there is improved 3-D graphics but the new F1 game on the PS3 is so realistic looking, it’s almost a waste of time watching it on T.V.

This hasn’t just happend with computer games, a lot of things have been introduced to the car between these years, most of which I am not even going to mention. I think that the best invention to come to the car industry in many years has to be the invention of the Hybrid car. They save on a lot of energy which is going to be useful when all the oil runs out in the not too distant future and in all honesty some of them look pretty awesome. The newer models of the Hyrbid enable you to put more charge into the battery when you brake the car.

As well as this you have all the crazy TV’s, heated chairs and other gadgets for your car that really are just a waste of money.

The Hyrbid car is only going to increase in sales (after the recession that is) and will certainly be the car of the future, but for nowl, you need a car that is both decent and afforable. Getting a leased can save hundreds if not thousands? The Audi contract hire looks pretty good as well as being as little as £214 a month.
