Cars Under 500 Dollars
Until recently, used car costs had been going thru the roof. They started getting less expensive when gas headed toward $4 a gallon, and then when the credit tightening hit, and there were a large amount of repos on the market, they got even cheaper.
Now that gas is back down under $2, they’ve gone back up rather, but they are still less expensive than a bit back. Of course, “cheap” is a relative term, and one man’s bargain is another man’s extravagance. What if you need an auto fast, and you only have 500 bucks? I’d head for govt vehicle auctions. Autos under 5 hundred dollars are available there.
How To Get Cheap Cars From Government Auctions
Now, do not get me inaccurate. At government auto auctions, automobiles under 5 hundred dollars are not a dime a dozen. They really are not even plentiful. But you stand an excellent chance of finding 1 or 2 such bargains at any given state auction you go to. And, yes, I’m talking about vehicles that really run and are street legal.
Now, it’s likely going to be rather a it older than most cars on the street, but that is’s no problem. If you are truly looking for a cheap vehicle, you can forget a late model one, anyway. Those will be grabbed by the dealers, and they’ll go for a lot more than 5 hundred dollars.
That’s because they are trying to find vehicles that may be resold fast, which is late model autos in great condition. That’s why dealers attend government auto auctions.
Automobiles under 5 hundred greenbacks don’t interest them, because they’re going to be too ancient to have much of a market. But that does not imply there’s anything inaccurate with a five hundred dollar car you pick up at one of these. It’ll just be older than average, and potentially not in tip top shape. But you can definitely find yourself a five hundred dollar vehicle that runs if you attend a few auctions.
